When does a furry sweater turn into an animal costume?

Bohemian – Day 4

I bought this furry sweater from a consignment store for twenty dollars.  It’s a brand I like (I.N.C.) and I did a carefree, bohemian summersault when I saw it – This is it!  I said, when I put it on… I will surely blend in with a herd of grazing Bohemians at Whole Foods with this baby on…

…And then of course, I wore it yesterday.  It is possibly the most comfortable and the warmest sweater I have ever owned and when I felt stressed I just rested my head against the furry collar and went to my happy place for a few seconds – such a bohemian move, I was proud of myself.

The only problem I had with this delightful and furry sweater is that I could constantly see the fur in my peripheral vision.  It was very distracting.  It was like I had really hairy shoulders.  It was like I had suddenly turned into a hairy guy at the beach.

The distraction of my furry shoulders made me start to question the entire sweater.  After all, one should not be able to see one’s clothes blowing around them as the walk, unless you’re Lady Gaga, Katy Perry or one of those poor souls paid to prance outside H&R Block during tax time dressed like the Statue of Liberty.

So, my question is… is this sweater too furry?  Is it boho chic or bordering on ridiculous?  If I added a fedora with a rooster feather, could I start trading clothes with this guy?

Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I’m just not sure he’s going for Bohemian like I am or even has any Joni Mitchell albums at all on his iPod.

Let me know what you think — I look forward to hearing your discerning bohemian thoughts…
